In October 2025, SMALL completed a sold out run to critical acclaim at The Old Globe Theatre, CA. The show first premiered at Penguin Rep Theatre, NYC in the Spring of 2022 and went on to successful runs in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Oklahoma. 

Robert Montano, the show's creator and performer on whom the story is based, earned both a Drama Desk Nomination and an Outer Critics Circle Award Nomination for outstanding solo performance off the heels of a run at 59E59, NYC championed by Chita Rivera and Ted Snowdon.

SMALL is a hilarious tour-de-force about resilience and finding and loosing yourself in the messy process of growing up as one young man’s dreams unexpectedly lead him from the Belmont racetrack to the Broadway stage.
